AWARD PROGRAM MEMBERSHIPS .RDF

The Resource Description Framework (RDF) provides a domain-neutral foundation on which extensible element sets can be defined and expressed in a standard notation. An .RDF data model and an .RDF schema are defined representing the element set and the classifier is configured to output the elements in .RDF syntax according to the defined schema.

A common .RDF is ICRA and is the one referenced as "labels."APEX has developed an awardprogrammemberships.rdf as well as our general APEX.RDF.

The awardprogrammemberships.rdf includes addition of the following for Memberships native to the award community (pending a mutually agreeable nomenclature) are for the purpose of the meta element with listings on this page being directly related to organizations in which Award Program members hold an active Membership and for other Organizations which support Award Programs and become Members of APEX.

1. An organizational structure whose objective is to promote strict, unambiguous and arbitrated codes of ethical conduct at all facets of involvement by both its members and administrators.
2. Elements of the organizational structure: Composed of individuals and groups of individuals, oriented towards achievement of common goals, differential functions, intended rational coordination, continuity through time, all of which promote well being and active award program community involvement.

METHOD OF USE

Any Award Program Member of APEX may adopt the APEX metadata scheme in whole or part whichever applies.Adoption does not constitute a Membership requirement. Adoption is completely voluntary however the schema is provided as a value added benefit of APEX Membership in good standing..

Best practice inclusion of the .RDF would be on the page where Memberships are found. It is not intended for inclusion on every page so the task of utilizing any or all of the APEX metadata schema is simple and straight forward. One line of code on your web page.An example is provided below which may vary depending upon the particular HTML code version you use.

Merely download the awardprogrammemberships.rdf file into your main directory and insert the below code.
